The Archive Point

Just Tried to find my first thread on here, but ended up a couple of months short, presumably because the live info only provides for 500 records.
I hope this is the case, and our history is confined to the Archive, there is only so much "Live" baggage you can cart around.
Would anyone want to visit the Archive?, I would not, not even for reference purposes.

So you'll have to be very careful what you say in your next 500 posts Patsy.

I intend to do just that Jem - whether I'll make it is another question

Re: The Archive Point

500 posts seems plenty
I've just looked and mine goes back to the middle of 2010 ... when I sometimes can't remember what I said yesterday it doesn't seem necessary to check up on my musings from five and a half years ago

Interesting point though - I wonder how many members will be having a look at their 'archive'?

Re: The Archive Point

I thought Spitty meant 'threads' - interesting to look back and see what it was you wanted to know and if you're any the wiser now

Re: The Archive Point

You are quite right - he does say threads, ( ) so I was able to look right back to the beginning of the forum!

Haven't reached the 500 limit yet but the old threads were mostly 'start the day' sort of chatty things. There wasn't much controversy back in the old days

Re: The Archive Point

'My' What Are You Having For Lunch/Dinner thread, started 8.8.09 is still going strong, with 366 pages and 7,302 replies

Is that the longest running, I wonder (idly)?
