Big Thursday

Morning all . . . yeah, it's voting day . . . I'm up early and I'll be first to cast my vote no doubt . . . it's the only time I have a chance for my voice to be heard and I always have my say in the polling station . . . . that bitch on the news team who slagged off Gordon about Mrs Duffy last week is on just now in the news studio . . . it was awful, she was like a Rottie with a bone last week . . . she needs to broaden her horizons . . . . far far away. . . . anyways, have a safe one OFFers, and cast your vote too.

Re: Big Thursday

Morning all

I will be glad when the voting is over and counted and we can get on with life. The mess this country is in its not good news for any of us regardless of who wins.

I hope you all have a good day.

Re: Big Thursday

At the polling station earlier, who should be stood standing there but . . . Mr David Alexander . . . yay! . . he's not our candidate but he's a leading figure in the SNP . . he's our local council leader . . . had a few words with him and wished his party all the best . . . this is a strong Labour constituency here, has been for decades . . Denis Canavan used to be our labour MP . . . he got wise and switched to the SNP a while ago . . . wise man, wise man . . I look forward to see how many votes they got . . no doubt it'll be the Labour donkey who gets in again.

Re: Big Thursday

Hi all.
I've voted and been to see my mum today (to take her a memory foam mttress topper, no less! ), so it's R&R time now. I've even fixed the tv in the bedroom in case I get n overwhelming urge to watch results coming through. I strongly suspect any following of politics I do will be done via the radio. Apparently the results are likely to be later than we are used to, because of the high percentage of postal votes (up to 20%), which take additional scrutiny.

Re: Big Thursday

A busy day today-up early(despite having a late one last night with a bottle of wine and `Catsey quizz`-plug plug-DM knows what I refer to.

Sorted out my tomato display and pulled loads of rhubarb-£1 for a bundle never less than 2.5 lb.

Two more hours toiling away before I said `sod it` lets go out.

We went here-we like it

Back home, vote and sit here with an early glass of red

Re: Big Thursday

Hi, all! Hope all have voted by now and that the lines weren't too horrendous!
Gorgeous day here, 25 C (76 F) and cloudless skies; so pleasant that I had breakfast on the porch as I had no errands, slept in so not in a hurry to get to the bus. OG, nice to see you back at the Catsey quiz yesterday!

Hope it's a good day for all, don't stay up too late watching the result!
