Isn't it strange?

I find it very odd that there's thousands of videos on the Internet of momentous events (such as kittens being rescued) just at the very moment that someone decides to film.

Do you think it's coincidence or are some "set ups"?

A lot are set up IMO, I think some are pure luck though.

I think it's all down to mobile phones. We nearly carry them now and most of them have a camera and video function. So many bloomin' selfies too,

Re: Isn't it strange?

Yes, I've recently mentioned this on here or another site that so many of the videos are contrived. It's the same with many of the 'You've been framed' examples on the TV. Unfortunately, there are many who will falsify situations to gain money and/or street cred. Pathetic really.

Many of them have to be set ups, some things occur so fast by the time you had the camera ready the occurrence would be over.

Yes that what I think, although trying to make my cat do anything life threatening would be impossible unless it involved falling off the sofa!

Re: Isn't it strange?

The introduction of vest/head/phone cams has made this a global phenomenon but, you can tell(mostly)the fake reactions on most.

What I find hard to accept is people reaching for their phones in the hope of getting it on film rather than helping in an emergency.

Yes, my daughters cat probably wouldn't notice, either - she never gets off the bed long enough to try it. Not that I would, of course !
