How sad

A young facebook friend of mine has posted to say how awful he feels having split up with his girl friend. He will get over it in time but we all remember those awful feelings. He is a very talented musician so could be writing some blues tunes very soon.

Ah I remember those days OG, many’s the broken heart I was left with meself as a young man, you think to yourself how could she be so cruel to walk out on me like this, if only I was made of sterner stuff then and could put it all behind me I would have been as free as a bird now.
Seriously it hurts at the time, but perhaps they will get together again it’ll all be forgotten.

I find that when I come out of a down spell I am at my most creative.

I have written many poems, retrospectively, after similar episodes of being hurt.

Why people feel the need to share their most intimate thoughts with the world is beyond me.

That's the saddest part.
