Gone With The Wind

Clark Gable said it best in the 1939 movie.. Gone With The Wind.. , " Frankly my dear I don't give a damn ". The question is, should we not give a damn when others unexpectedly pass air ? Because it really is not gone with the wind, it sort of hangs around a bit, doesn't ?

Doris Day said it better in 'Calamity Jane' when she sang - "I've just blown in from the windy city ....."

Re: Gone With The Wind

Another thought just came to mind. Famous movies do have statements that become popular and stand out over the years. For example..

In the movie.. Over The Water Front.. when Marlon Brando says.. " I could of been a contender ". Or in the Clint Eastwood movie.. Dirty Harry.., when he says.. "Do you feel lucky, well do ya, punk ? "

Not sure what all of this has do do when one passes air. I guess it can be a remembered moment in time

Watching the news just now, the reporter said that he saw a great dramatical movie this past weekend. How unfortunate, he said, that these movies receive very little achnowledgement, whereas, movies like Stars Wars gets all the attention.

Speaking of Star Wars, the movie statement that stands out here is.. " Let the force be with you ". Not sure what force they are referring to as long its not about passing wind..

Another movie statement that comes to mind is in.. A Few Good Men.. The statement remembered there was.. " You can't handle the truth ! " Wbat does this have to do with passing air ? Well, its a natural body function of the body. Yet, no one likes talking about it. Thats the truth that many of us can't handle

As I'm always Mr Pedantic I'd just like to mention that its 'May the Force be with you'

With regards to guff movies, how about 'When the wind blows'!?

Re: Gone With The Wind

Thank you for the correction. The older I get, the harder it is to remember. Which brings me to another movie quote. In the movie Rambo, Rambo says.. " In order to win a war, one needs to become war ". So what does this statement have to do with passing air ? Well, like war, you are what you eat. Thus, you pass air..

Re: Gone With The Wind

Then there's two of the most widely used, both from Arnie.

"Hasta la vista, baby" See you later, when the air clears.
And
"I'll be back" when you stop farting.
