Is it just me?

Is it just me.....getting older & a grumpy old woman...but does anyone else get really infuriated about the 'handouts' that people with children get? And people without a job on benefits etc & they expect it

No it's not just you . . . . . we have become a handout society . . . they all expect their asses to be wiped by the state . . . . this is why after a lifetime of working, I'm still paying taxes . . . . soddem.

Definately not just you.

I do not believe that there should be family allowance of any kind.
I do not believe in maternity leave.

People choose to have kids then let them pay for them.

No it's not just you, but I bet if you were able to speak to Gordon Brown about it youd be catorigised as a bigot

Over on Dogsey someone found a web site you can go on to see what benefits you could get.

She (hypothetically) said she was a single Mum with five kids, and guess what the total was:-

More than £500 per week and of course no tax or rent to pay Sorry I can't remember the exact amount and don't have time to find the link

It's ludicrous, but of course the politicians just don't care, it's like buying votes for them using tax payers money.

Have you ever added up the total of taxes you've paid in a lifetime Denis ????

I have and I warn you .....don't do it

Even if you only count income tax and NI contributions it will come to a tidy sum

And then there's VAT, petrol tax, road tax, airport tax, stamp duty, inheritance tax, the list goes on and on.

No wonder Gordon Brown doesn't want to talk to 'ordinary' people, he never has these kinds of problems does he.

I probably shouldn't comment on this but can't resist saying I agree 100%

Re: Is it just me?

Long gone are the days when family allowance was used to help survive the week. I saw on the tele yesterday that a lib dem denied people got more money from not working, what planet is he on, It might have been a labour chap, not sure but whatever its totally wrong, thats why a lot of people have loads of kids and don't work, they're better off. Pride and holding your head up doesn't come into it, its greed and laziness.
