Biographies

I like a good read especially biographies and have always been a great fan of Steptoe & Son so i decided to purchase Harry Corbetts biography and a very good read it is. I never realised he fought the Japs out in the far east as a Royal Marine.

Doc - Tommy Steele was never in my top ten but - his biography was recommended to me so I got it on kindle
It is one of the best so I ask you to try it, he is now in my top ten

I too like reading biographies Doc. Just finished reading one about a Yorkshire shepherdess who has 8 kids and lives miles from anywhere. Prior to that I read one about a nurse who, for most of her working life, was a pit-head nurse and had to deal with some gruesome accidents.

I have read and enjoyed Christopher Lee's autobiography, "Tall, Dark and Gruesome", several times - he had such a fascinating life.

Have just started reading Maggie Smith's biography - excellent !
