Its Over Hurrah!!!

Ok im a miserable old so and so but boy am i glad Christmas is over for another year . I just do not enjoy it anymore i would go as far as saying i detest it. Nowadays it starts far to early with all the adverts and annoying piped hyms in the shops and parents getting themselves deep in debt trying to outdo the neighbours grrr!!! Please feel free to have a go at me i can take it. But i bet many of you feel as i do.☺

I do understand how you feel Doc ,I just tend to switch myself off to what the outside world does for their christmas and just enjoy what I do for my enjoyment of my families christmas...I dont detest christmas at all in fact I love christmas for the lights and trees and family memories to be had.

But then I feel like you do about xmas starting earlier and earlier its totally ridiculous ofc makes you wonder where it will end at this rate! But switch off what goes on. lol go on next year try it!

Still enjoying it here and likely to carry on until grace goes back to school, she is still opening presents one a day to make them last.

I certainly wont "have a go" but I have to say I love it. It has to start early for us as we have fourteen grandkids to buy for, some of which live in Oz and Nz so posting early is a must. There were sixteen of us around the table on Christmas day which made it so wonderfully enjoyable if just a little knackering.

I'm totally with you on this Doc, it's just a meaningless nonsensical corporate money making opportunity. Next year, I really feel like going somewhere for a week where there is none of the hype.

I intend to get away from it all next year Hawkeye not sure where how about the outer hebrides maybe not i suppose they love xmas as well. Any ideas anyone how to escape xmas?
