Re: New Year's

No, they're always low key for me.

Probably watch a Boxset on New Years Eve (Modern Family) and make a nice dinner New Years Day...

I like the Christmas decorations down by NYE so I don't take the old year into the new one.

Re: New Year's

New Years Eve I shall be having my mum round for dinner but New Years night will just be a quiet affair with some alcohol for company and no doubt the usual gumph on telly.
New Years Day not on my radar yet lol

Re: New Year's

I have the family coming on New Year's Day when I cook a Turkey roast and trimmings for them .... they even get a present off the Christmas tree

We've done it for years now, it's a nice way to start the year off

Re: New Year's

We're going to our daughter's partner's place for a meal and a musical evening. We all either sing or play something even if it's only hitting a tin plate with a spoon. It always makes for an enjoyable evening. Our daughter has a party piece where she sings ' Big bottom Mama' in a burlesque style. I am going to film it and put it on You Tube to see if it takes off.

Just a small gathering of friends and then, its back to reality. You know, the good old stuff, work and paying bills.

Mags that sounds like a wonderful tradition to have for the new year. I'd like to try that with my grandkids.
