Serious biased panel award to the N.Irish just because it was in Belfast...

Coach of the year to N Ireland footy team manager???? All they did was qualify for a final stages of a major tournament.

Well done Andy Murray, well deserved...

Sorry OGF, I don't agree with your thoughts about Andy, he is a lovely person who doesn't particularly like being in the limelight but is dedicated to his sport.

I bow to your superior knowledge Mags, I don't really know the bloke, only what I see on the TV and read in the newspapers.
I accept he is a brilliant tennis player but the program is called 'Sports Personality Of The Year' not sporting achievement of the year; and if it was, surely Lewis Hamilton should have had a look in been as he is F1 world champ for the third time, mans an awesome sportsperson, happy too.

Well, my immediate thought when hearing AM was given the award for SPOTY, was, where did they find it?
