Advice on a winter break.

Does anyone know of a nice quiet place, possibly with a beach, with a station (can't drive far) for a weekend away ?
My family are driving me nuts! If I don't get away from them soon I'll be carried away in a basket!
It would have to be very cheap though, probably would be at this timelines of year, also in England as I no longer have a valid passport.

I'm near a station. I am quiet and inexpensive to run but have no beach.

Might help people, TessA, if they knew roughly where you live!

Don't have to be specific, but maybe what corner of Britain, so members can offer their suggestions.

Personally, I'd say Bournemouth, because I love it there.

I live in Somerset, nearest station is Bath.

Have you a pond or a sandpit Rachel?

A Manchester United fan looking for a Winter break has been advised "You can't beat The Canaries, this time of year".

Re: Advice on a winter break.

I think I'll plan for February, Somerset is damp and dingy and not looking it's best Julie, besides my family live here! If you come this way I'll tell you where to avoid!
