Chelsea sack Jose Mourinho

After all the speculation, its bye bye Jose.
Not to worry too much though, as he will be paid many millions of pounds he is owed under his contract.

He's not sacked yet !! Are you not jumping the gun a bit ? He is being allowed to stay till Saturday and if he wins on Saturday against Sunderland at Stamford Bridge there could well be a stay of execution. If Chelsea loose at home against Sam Allardyce's Sunderland, then I think he will get his cards.

Re: Chelsea sack Jose Mourinho

I've just read your link, Purwell, and I must say that the Daily Express has got it all around their necks ! I bow to your more accurate source.

Not sure why Chelsea players failed to play as a team or play to their obviously talented abilities, but I suspect the rot set in when Mourinho had that fracas with his team medical staff. Maybe the players were upset by his attitude towards the medical team.

I could never understand why he was so damned angry that the medical staff ran onto the pitch to attend to an injured player. He insisted that they should have consulted him first ! For pity's sake, nobody knew how badly that player was injured - it could have been a potential career threatening injury.

Strangely enough I have never considered Jose Mourinho as a god who has to have the final decision on EVERYTHING ! Up to that incident, I personally had great respect for the man. It didn't surprise me one bit when that woman doctor left the club.

No matter what you think of him as a person or as a manager, he has been one of football genuine 'characters'
