Strange letter
I've just received a letter from HMRC basically to make sure that they've got my address correct. Now, if they've got my address wrong, I wouldn't have received the letter.
It's all to do with making sure that I still live in Scotland because next year Scottish rate of income tax comes into play next year. Looks like UK tax will be reduced by 10p and instead we will pay 10p Scottish tax, some of which goes back to the UK. So, initially nothing will change. N.I., tax on investments etc.. are unchanged.
Good time to be an accountant ?
