I Have a Secret

To be part of a secret circle, of those that know something others don't know, can be special. Because this rare group is prevy to an unknown fact, whatever that unknown fact maybe. So if someone utters those words.. " I have a secret " , the majority of people who hear this will most certainly be intrigued. Because its what someone knows that you haven't a clue about, because its a secret.

So yeah, I have a secret. Is it a deep dark secret ? That depends on what you may call as being deep dark. Thing is, I'm not sure at this point if I want to tell you. Because if I do, then it ceases to be a secret. And then it no longer has value or interest.

So why do I bring it up ? Because it makes you think and now there is a need to know. Where before you could care less.

Funny how knowing a secret can change one's life. Probably because you come to know what others don't, which enables you to acquire the unique power to reveal it or not.

I know something about you that you apparently don’t know yourself, but I doubt it's a secret. I'd say it were common knowledge. Perhaps your circle is a liability, more apt to “shut out” rather than to “preserve”.

Your reply makes sense. Its how one interprets the secret. Does the one acquiring the secret believe in it or not ? And maybe thats why the secret is a secret, because the vast majority, if they knew it, would have a hard time understanding it, yet believing in it.

Good point ! I guess secrets are out there to make people think, to explore and to question, as you have just done. Its the forbidden knowledge that is looked to acquire. Thus, the seeker really is interested in knowing it, so he also can say he knows a secret with the capacity of revealing it or not

A friend of mine told me a secret 40 years ago and I never discussed it with anyone.

Sometimes people need to offload a worry and they chose carefully who they offload it on.

I guess she knew I could be trusted...
