Belated Happy 100th Birthday...Frank Sinatra!

I thought it would be nice to acknowledge what would have been Frank Sinatra's 100th birthday yesterday (12th December)

Yes, I heard saw something about that on the telly earlier, Arty. Can't say I was ever that enamoured with him, I had more of a soft spot for his mate - Dean Martin.

(That reminds me, my first husband always used to play Frank Sinatra music to me when we were courting, I didn't have the heart to tell him I didn't like it that much).

He is my all time favourite popular music singer and I have lots of his CDs and videos.

Honestly, I never had respect for the guy. He had a dark side I did not like

Re: Belated Happy 100th Birthday...Frank Sinatra!

When I started work at 15 and was the office junior I was
doing something silly one day and one of the older women
said "You will never be grown up until you like Frank Sinatra
and Shirley Bassey.

Hence my childish behaviour even to this day

Still can say Happy Birthday to Frank he had lovely eyes
but don't like his singing or his mafia links.

Re: Belated Happy 100th Birthday...Frank Sinatra!

Goodness me, he would have been 100!? He was my mother's favourite singer, although I always preferred Mr. Orbison

As I recall he was burried with a pack of Camel cigarettes and his lighter. I remember that because Jim was burried with a pack of Marlboros and his lighter.

Me, I'll be burried with a bottle of London Dry
