Yes, I heard saw something about that on the telly earlier, Arty. Can't say I was ever that enamoured with him, I had more of a soft spot for his mate - Dean Martin.
(That reminds me, my first husband always used to play Frank Sinatra music to me when we were courting, I didn't have the heart to tell him I didn't like it that much).

When I started work at 15 and was the office junior I wasdoing something silly one day and one of the older women
said "You will never be grown up until you like Frank Sinatra
and Shirley Bassey.
Hence my childish behaviour even to this day
Still can say Happy Birthday to Frank he had lovely eyes
but don't like his singing or his mafia links.

Goodness me, he would have been 100!? He was my mother's favourite singer, although I always preferred Mr. OrbisonAs I recall he was burried with a pack of Camel cigarettes and his lighter. I remember that because Jim was burried with a pack of Marlboros and his lighter.
