Lord Janner ruled unfit to plead or to stand trial

Heart warming to see the establishment looking after their own.
let us not forget that even after being diagnosed with whatever debilitating mental condition he supposedly has, he was still appearing in the house of lords, and, obviously, claiming the daily attendance allowances.

I agree but just because he was in parliament doesn't mean he was well looking at some of the decisions they make I often wonder how many are not quite with it really

Let's hope the press puts pressure on Cameron to sack him. If he is really ill he needs medical attention.

Reminds me of the Ernest Saunders case , there was a miracle if ever I saw one..

Five years on and Ernest appears to have made a recovery so miraculous that he is now heading a consortium bid for Queen's Park Rangers, the football team he first sponsored while chief executive of Guinness.

Just another governmental whitewash. Protecting one of their own. Get the damned paedophile in nick where he belongs. That's me done.

I think there should be a statute of limitations on sex crimes .. everyone involved is older now and after 50 years memories will be somewhat unreliable.

I do agree with you Cass, not just memories but very little evidence survives I would imagine. And I am uncomfortable when people misremember they are then considered to have lied, don't know many people who can remember word for word what was said and who they met so long ago.

As I have also pointed out on numerous occasions. If Janner is that poorly, he should forego his appearances (and his allowances) at the H o L.
