let us not forget that even after being diagnosed with whatever debilitating mental condition he supposedly has, he was still appearing in the house of lords, and, obviously, claiming the daily attendance allowances.

I agree but just because he was in parliament doesn't mean he was well looking at some of the decisions they make I often wonder how many are not quite with it really

I think there should be a statute of limitations on sex crimes .. everyone involved is older now and after 50 years memories will be somewhat unreliable.

I do agree with you Cass, not just memories but very little evidence survives I would imagine. And I am uncomfortable when people misremember they are then considered to have lied, don't know many people who can remember word for word what was said and who they met so long ago.
