What advice would you give youngsters?

I think all too often the 'youngsters' these days don't appreciate the wisdom that comes with age... so, if they were listening - what advice would you give them?

I wouldn`t dream of it!
I`ve led a varied, occasionally disgraceful, life and frequently had to work very hard or move very fast as a result of bad decisions (usually along the lines of - that looks fun, lets give it a go) so I don`t think think I really could advise much beyond -

I think you have too make mistakes in life to learn from them.

Learn a foreign language to an acceptable level.
This could be a damn good country to leave if Cameron's clowns get in.

Respect is something which is won, it is not a right.
Treat people with respect and they will usually return it.

Think under Labour they cant even speak English to an acceptable level

Tell you what galty that might be true of your children/grandchildren but not of mine.

Not all youngsters are the same-but there are those who need to learn how to respect people and their property. As Mags said respect is earned......we were always taught respect from an early age and its something that stays with you through life.
