Vector image

Thought I'd try and get to grips with Inkscape this afternoon. This is a vector drawing program that comes in MS Windows and Linux versions. A complicated program but just wondered if I could use it. Well, it was a dreary afternoon so I imported a photo into the program and wasted time doing this with it:

Re: Vector image

Hello Nom - Here's the original photo. Just a random one to see what could be done with the image. The photo has had a filter applied to it, perhaps not to the good It's necessary to construct the frame and the rest of the surrounding area (the most interesting part to do).

It's just that I've paid a fair bit for a couple of programs that do this kind of thing and other vector drawings. With thinking about using Linux more, I wondered how this freeware program that works on Linux would compare. Not too bad as it turns out.
