First pictures of our pets

Let's see your favourite pictures of your dog/cat/bird/etc. when you first got them.

Of our current pets, we first got Jeeves.
He was a rescue - just 4 weeks old when we first got him.
This is by means the first picture of him, but it's my favourite




Next was Mr.Jiggs, a present from my wonderful husband.


Oh heck, that was real small!

At the time, I was part of a rescue organization, and this wonderful pup, Rollie, was scheduled to be euthanized. We brought him up to Canada from the US.
The first picture we have of him - he was so, so skinny, and had lots of bald spots.


Next came Dinty.
Dinty's our clown whose elevator has never reached the top.
But he's oh so lovable.


And then there's Mokopuna, aka Moko, our rescue African grey.
The lady who originally owned him turned out to be allergic to his dander, so put him in a room by himself. A visiting relative finally convinced her to give him up.
(This was the cage we brought him home in, borrowed from our local pet store - he's in a bigger one now.)

Basil when he arrived. Someone had swapped him for a puppy but when he bit them they decided they didnt want him and asked us to take him. Hew had no chest feathers barely any wing and no tail left.

After at least a year he grew his feathers back and started to trust us.

It's wonderful what some TLC can do isn't it! Well done.
I'd say Basil is a very happy boy now!

My two little Pomeranians who travelled from England to Kenya and Kenya to Spain. Gem was 15 when this photo was taken and little Bubbles 11.

Here is my miniature poodle Fern when I first got her . She is silver so was born black . She is a real bundle of fun

Here is our whippet Evie when we first got her at 8 weeks old . It was January so I had a little coat for her ! She is a diva and she is our Princess !

Hey Abbey! Fern looks fun!
I know zilch about poodles. How long before she was all silver?
Upon first seeing her pic, I thought she had a Beatle haircut!
Evie sure has that princess look about her!
"Let me in!"
She has beautiful eyes!
