Last night before moving

The sun has set on my last night here before moving 10 miles inland tomorrow. After two weeks of gales straight off the Atlantic and rain, today has been calm so I am getting a gentle send off.



I've done just about all I can do now, although will have to come back to clean and clear out what remains in the garage.

So farewell stunning sea view, and hello tomorrow to a view of rolling hills, with four horses and a donkey for neighbours. Bennie will miss his daily morning stroll to the beach, and is going to need some training to stop him barking at the neighbours…But at least the fact that he is so inclined means he is beginning to recognise his new home.

I think I'll open a bottle of wine tonight...

Thanks everyone. Yes, Jem, I will miss the view but I will not miss the wind and the corrosive effect that the sea air has on so many things!

ETA sorry I've not been able to keep up with things on here lately. Not sure when I will get my internet in the new place so no doubt will have a lot of catching up to do eventually.
