Re: Whats you doing?

I'm sitting in my armchair with the fire burning and the television in the background with a Katherine Jenkins concert on. Nice and calming.

In about an hour I think I'll have a bath, put the tea on and power on the turntable for a few songs.

Re: Whats you doing?

I've been out this morning taking photographs of the flooding here in North Wales. The small rivers are typically 20ft wide as they feed into the Bala Lake, but are presently several fields wide! There's one hell of a lot of water heading towards Corwen and Llangollen - they must be flooded to hell.

We were the last people who managed to drive up the A494. They closed the road after us. In places, it was a good two feet deep with a fast flow of water running straight across.

Until you have seen the rivers overflowing, you really cannot appreciate the amount of power there is in them. Cattle and sheep simply get washed downstream into the lake - you cannot swim sideways to safety.

Everything is so dark and grey here. We had to turn the lights on at 1pm.

Taking Chloe out for her walk which checking for distressed or dying sheep .
There is a new batch in the field at the moment with suicidal tendencies, they walk into brambles/stand still/die .
Armed with the oven gloves I free them

Re: Whats you doing?

I liked that film Doc, bit of a twist in the end of it, James Stewart (mouthful of marbles as me mother used to call him) and John Wayne.
Everywhere I looked on the main TV station there were cooking shows and sport so I'm playing draughts on the computer between looking in here, the missus is dozing in the armchair, says a lot for the TV program planners doesn't it.
