Taking 5 minutes

This is the first break I've had all day. Today was my birthday and since this morning it's been a constant stream of visitors, preparing and putting out food, but it made me think just how lucky I am to have so many good friends and neighbours, most of who speak different languages but somehow or other all manage to make themselves understood to each other and all get along very well. Today we've had Germans, Spanish, Norwegian, Finnish, English, Swedish and Filipino, they all made my day brilliant. Now I'm taking five minutes in between tidying up, I think I've earned it, it's been quite a day.
