The Lady in the Van

I'm waiting patiently for this true story film with Maggie Smith as the lady in the van, it's released on the 13th which is Friday but is not on our cinema as far as I can see.

I saw a clip of this and it looks great, shes like a bag lady type of woman dressed in layers of clothing, scarves and hats and lives in an old Bedford van. She's very obstinate and demanding.. Maggie plays a good part and i can't wait to see it

Re: The Lady in the Van

Would love to see the movie I read the book sometime ago and it was very good.
I was a bit put off at first when I ordered it I expected a proper sized book to be delivered instead I received a 5"x3" soft back and his other book "The Clothes They Stood Up In" although hard back was of similar size.
These diddy books do not look good on my book shelves.

Re: The Lady in the Van

I like these types of film..
Theres a story and not just a series of special effects and explosions..

I suppose it might get shown in our local art house cinema but I doubt the big multiples will have time for it.
