Not too bad here so far today. But as I need to do some serious cleaning I kind of hope it rains...

Morning all

Its sunny at the moment but a bit windy, we are forecast for a wettish weekend.

What an afternoon I had yesterday. I went to pick up the car, hurrah it was actually ready! I took Rufus with me as it's at least 20mins walk from home, we were halfway down the track when it started pouring, we had a thunderstorm overhead, blinding lightning which I thought was sheet but OH and daughter said was forked and culminating in hail. Poor Rufus had no coat on and was scared but bless him did his best. I hate thunder and wouldn't have left the house if I had known.

I hope you are all having a good day.

Re: Morning Friday:)

Hi, all. Rainy, raw and windy here today, only 4 degrees (40 F ); a shock to the system after the prematurely warm spell. A good day to stay inside and potter around. My bulbs came yesterday, got some of them planted outside; good timing as the rain will cover the scent of newly disturbed soil which lets the tree rats know that something has been buried! Hee hee, hope they are foiled Also potted up the Jacobean and Amazon lilies; no more seedlings up yet. That's all the news!

Re: Morning Friday:)

I'm playing "Hookie" today & tomorrow from work. For those not familiar with that term it means to make an excuse not to be somewhere. Actually I scheduled two holidays, today & tomorrow, just because I can. Since discovering I won't be paid for my holidays if I don't use them I've been on a tear to use all 7. I have less than 100 days left in my job & look forward to retirement.

It's sort of raining here which means I could go out and find an overcast day with ocassional sprinkles. Since I hate to just sit around I'm sure I'll venture out for a scooter ride somewhere. The destination isn't really important. I just need a bit of exercise and fresh air.

Re: Morning Friday:)

It's been a bit of a mixed weather day but we have taken a day off too (hookie - yes, I know the expression but probably don't use it a lot). Had an exciting couple of hours at Clarks Village (outlet centre). I quite enjoyed it at first, when it was nice and quiet but I don't enjoy being in shopping crowds, so the novelty wore off!
