Would you believe it????

I say this in the style of Victor Meldrew in
One foot in the grave.

I read today that two Elk or Moose in Norway have
been shot. Nothing that people have not heard before.
The shock and the "would you believe it" occurs when
you find out where the Elk were.

In A Zoo.
What idiot would do that. Well according to the
story it was two hunters who had Elk searching
dogs who followed them. Shot the two Elk only
to find out that they were actually in a Zoo supposed
to be in their natural surroundings.

The Zoo owner said he believed it was a mistake
He said we did have 5 Elk and now we only have 3.

If it was me I would make them pay for at least 10 more
to be brought to the Zoo and said come near our Zoo
again if you dare. In Norwegian of course

You would think they would have noticed
Not the sort of people to be let loose with a gun if they are so inept at being aware of their surroundings...

Does one not have to pay to enter a zoo in Norway? That should have given them a hint.

Before I let you in Sir, why are you carrying a gun? Ehhmm, for my own protection.

Exactly. I'm also sick and tired of all these people in the news lately who 'kill for the thrill.' I will never understand it.

Until I watched Countryfile yesterday I didn't realised deer were farmed in this country. I thought they were hunted for meat in the hunting season.

Re: Would you believe it????

Brings to my mind the story of 2 young city fellows driving around a country town showing off their recent deer kill. They were arrested because the so called deer was actually a hereford hiefer that they had shot. True story.
