London Eye is 10 today

Is it really 10 years ago that the London Eye had its first passengers? Time flies!

It must have carried millions of passengers in that time. We took a ride on it a couple of years ago and it was fantastic ..... a half hour view over London. I would love to go on it again.

TV actress Angela Griffin was in our pod with her husband and two lovely children.

You should try it the next time you're in London Azz - well worth it and you get a 30 minute ride...

It goes round so slow Moli that you don't know you are moving. The pod is huge too so you don't get the confined space feeling either.

Re: London Eye is 10 today

We've been on it with some friends. The husband of the other couple is afraid of heights and so is Mrs mart. They went up anyway just to enter into the spirit of things ..very brave! When we got to the top, neither would admire the view despite constant reassurance.

We felt like royalty on our visit. As we know, the wheel never stops. Well, that is apart from from when wheelchair users need to get on. So, it felt a great honour when it was actually stopped for Mrs mart. Not only that but we didn't have to queue! We had to book in advance for this special treatment.

Mrs mart can be hired to accompany you for a very reasonable rate if you too would like to receive this special treatment.

Can hardly believe it's 10 years! Time goes by so quickly! I have passed it a few times on the way to the Euro Tunnel train in a taxi. Would love to go on it and perhaps one day I will, if I go back to London
