Thursday chat
Morning all - a light frost overnight and the day is yet to warm up.I am awaiting the plumber ... things might get a bit damp here - eek!
Did a good bit of work on the allotment on Tuesday - one good side effect of the rotten winter is that it has not got out of control whilst I was incapacitated by sciatica, so a good session has left it looking good..... and no bad reaction from my back, I'm delighted to report.

Morning Everyone
Hope the sun clears up the pavements today! I have to take Loki to the vet in the afternoon for her blood test. I asked for the senior vet, Mr Kerr, who owns the practice, as the other vet used an electric razor on her leg the last time, which freaked her out and she cried. Mr Kerr always uses scissors to snip the hair from her leg and is far more gentle with her. Fingers crossed for a good result from her blood test.Hope everyone will enjoy Thursday.

Mornin all, . . cough-cough-cough, . . I've just sprayed the bathroom medicine cabinet with cellulose paint - cough-cough - and it's up me nose, this room is next to the bathroom, . . just in case I have more involuntary bowel movements,
. . anyways, I'm waiting on the first coat to dry, it's like watching Eastenders,

Well, - splutter - that's the cabinet finished - cough - that paint smells rancid, . . the poor orchids are looking a bit wilted, they're on the windowsill next to the cabinet, you get a fine mist off them aerosols and it's wafted all over the upper house, . . never mind, the cabinet looks like new.

Sunny and chilly today, 2 degrees (36 F), but the wind chill is -2. It may warm up to near normal by the weekend, so they say. Still have piles of snow melting on the shady side of the street; an unending Winter. But .... I notice buds beginning to swell on the barberry bushed ... surely Spring will get here one day.DM, glad the allotment's looking good and that the sciatica isn't troubling you; don't overdo. Hope all goes well at the vet, Brandykins. Nero, it must be too cold for you to open the windows and get that paint stink out....???
