The good & the bad news

My mobile phone has been playing up, so today when I saw a mobile phone 'mender's shop, I popped in to explain the problem and see if they could fix it.

No problem, all done in less than a minute, and he didn't charge me a penny. That's the good news.

The bad news was, I saw him picking his nose before he picked my phone up, and he started again as I left the shop.

We all have to cope with the little irritations in life Mups
A good wipe with an antibacterial wipe should do the trick

Re: The good & the bad news

Now there is a new subject to discuss, nose picking, what a change that would be from smoking, drinking, overeating etc, haha. I know what you mean though Mups, we walked out of a café one day, after ordering, because we could see into the kitchen and plainly saw the woman who was putting the food together sneeze then wipe her nose on the tea towel she was holding. It´s a very popular English café here but not one we will ever go in again.

Re: The good & the bad news

Strangely enough, research has been carried out by an Oxbridge team of experts on this very subject.

Their findings, reported in the New Scientist magazine, shows that there is a great deal of protein to be found in nose pickings, with a small amount of carbohydrates. Upto three percent of polyunsaturated fats were also found, and less than 0.1 sodium.

On an industrial scale, if such a diet were introduced based on these findings, obesity in the over-60's could be halved within a decade.

Very interesting Hans, but I think I'll pass on that.
