Comedy today

If these are the best Edinburgh have seen this year I find it a bit worrying, have we stopped being funny ? I am sure not long ago we had rafts of brilliant comedians who could have done better than this on their worst days. http://www.theguardian.com/stage/201...ringe-festival

No need for me to check it out Julie - I came to the conclusion that modern comedians just aren't as funny, if at all
I like subtle humour, and no shouting which they tend to do today

I haven't seen or heard of any of Them, but the fringe does tend to attract some weird Folks from all walks of Life.

Comedy died in this country when the comedians started using four letter words, I never watch any so called comedy any more...it just isn't funny anymore

I keep seeing the trailer for a new programme on BBC cradle to the grave , the woman is wading though a house full of what look like packaged pillows and says something like....Ive nowhere to put me feet up and lord knows where the dog is...

Makes me laugh everytime...

As for some new comics no thanks just a load of old twaddle..

Only thing that makes me smile is following a fat lady and watching her backside. Reminds me of two cats fighting under a pillow
