River book person dies

It`s sad for the family but all this hype??

I am old enough to remember Italian cooking going back to the early 70`s . She did not change the way we see things-some rich folk in London may have liked to be seen there but why the hype??

Aubergines did not arrive here in the mid late 80`s spaghetti does not grow on trees.

I`m annoyed when the media tell us that until so and so came along a curry meant a vesta-we are the over 50`s some of us were cooking a long time ago now

Re: River book person dies

It was all over the news this morning-like mother Theresa of cooking had died.

Didn`t rate their recipes and as for `changing the way we see Italian food`??-maybe for some rich gits who wouldn`t know pasta from poo maybe
