Pig or Lamb

Today just as I turned into the meat isle in Asda a man stopped me and asked which did I think was the best ....pigs liver or lambs liver........told him I preferred lambs. I've not eaten red meat for many many years but could still remember the difference in taste.

Re: Pig or Lamb

Strange that. We had braised lambs liver and onions, with potatoes and sweetheart cabbage for our evening meal.
Was very nice too.

And me!
I find pigs liver far too strong and don't like the texture.

Re: Pig or Lamb

I dislike the taste of pigs liver, but like lambs, calves or ox livers

Re: Pig or Lamb

I couldn't eat liver, kidney, tripe, tongue or any sort of offal if you paid me a £1,000. I sometimes get a bit of liver to cook for my dogs as they love it, but even the smell of it cooking and seeing it all bloody and slipping and sliding about turns my stomach!

Re: Pig or Lamb

For braising with onions it's got to be pig's liver,
For flash frying it's got to be Lamb's or calf's liver.....simples !
