I grew up with,supported it as much as I could But it still asks the same questions.

I`m getting older now but I see the same rubbish-women getting paid afortune for being a fashion item/bimbo ,Blokes being paid a fortune for being a prat-.

I'll just say i find it really sad that the hard work of the 60s etc feminists seems to have resulted in young women trying to out-misbehave young men and slightly older young women having to work all their waking hours juggling family duties and paid employment

Where did it go wrong? Madison Avenue? The Multinational Corporate World becoming more influential than national govenments? Other? *sigh*

When I was young I couldn`t open a bank account without my father or husband`s permission.
The careers advice at school was a choice between secretary or civil service.
I couldn`t take out a loan or sign a contract without my husbands` signature
I earned half what the men did because I didn`t need the money.
If I became pregnant I was a Slut. The bloke was `sowing his wild oats`.
I worked two jobs, brought up the kids and did ALL the housework. Because that`s what wives did.
When my husband hit me it was my fault.
When my husband smashed up my house and everything in it the police wouldn`t prosecute because it was his stuff after all.
I was thrown out of a cafe, a station and a zoological garden for breastfeeding my babies.
So don`t tell me it was better back then.
