Sir Peter O'Sullivan

Sir Peter O’Sullivan has died at the age of 97, in my opinion the best racing commentator ever, his golden voice made you feel good even if your horse lost. Enjoy the racing up there Peter.

Re: Sir Peter O'Sullivan

I read today as a schoolboy his love of horse racing started when he put sixpence each-way on the 100-1 winner Tipperary Tim in the 1928 Grand National!

Sir Peter "O'Sullevan" a legend indeed...

Re: Sir Peter O'Sullivan

I suppose i first came across him in the 60`s when returning from the pictures for Saturday tea his distinctive voice would be on the recently purchased goggle box. My dad was a big racing fan, and Peters commentary would have to compete with my fathers own enthusiastic outpourings.
