Families of the Future?

Is this the way future families will be 'made'?

I have just seen in the paper about 2 ladies who met online.
They eventually decided to 'get married.'

Then at some stage, they decided to have children, both of them. They went onto a special website and chose the prospective father of their children online too. They said they "thought he'd be fit enough to make it happen."

They arranged for the lad to visit them when they thought they should be ovulating, he 'saw to himself' in another room, gave the end product to the women and left. He has visited them both several times, apparently charging nothing.
They did the final bit of the 'job' themselves, to each other, and are now both pregnant.

Is this the way it will all be one day?

And undoubtedly they'll separate in the very near future...

Whether they separate or not, I just felt very, very old reading that's how some young people meet a partner and start a family now.

I'm still sitting here shaking' my head. . . .

It's a different world now Mups and we 'oldies' find it difficult to accept the new values.

Better like that surely than a couple who meet once drunk and create a life neither want or are able to raise properly at least these people want the children.

I think this is the way of the world now.

Gone are the days of enrolling with an agency and going through years of vetting to find out if you would be a good enough parent and then getting a baby.

yes it is a different world, and us older ones sometimes find it very confusing.
I often wonder what it will be like when my grand children grow up.

Best not to think about it - we've got enough on our plate

You could well be right, it seems to happen quite a bit, and I just wonder how this will affect the innocent ones , the children. These are not really ethical people, just selfish, and all about me, me, me, what are my needs. but then what do I know.
