I mostly go to the sort of places where it's fine to go by myself.I wouldn't go to the pictures of a pub or dance on my own, but I'm not keen on those things anyway, so it don't matter.
I can walk the dogs on my own, go to my Yoga, attend some group meetings I belong to, go out to lunch with a friend sometimes, and friends sometimes pop in to me for a coffee and chat, so it doesn't bother me much.
A few years ago, I belonged to dog training clubs, a bird club, and even a goat club! I always went on my own, even though I was married, because he wasn't interested in the same things.
Just occasionally I would like to go to something a bit further afield where it would be nice to have some company, or better still, someone to take me (cos I'm really bad at finding my way anywhere), but I've got used to it on the whole.
I wouldn't want to be entirely dependent on someone else to take me everywhere.

Mainly go out on my own and then meet up with like minded others. Im not one for organised events or small talk. I do enjoy the company of artistic types,and those that have hobbies. Ifind their conversation a bit more absorbing than those that just talk about what they see on TV. Met some interesting characters while in hospital recently, firmly putting to bed the myth that men dont talk.
