How To?

Do you ever use Youtube to find out how to do things youre not sure of?
Ive used it for several things ive needed to "see" being done before ive tried them.
Do you find it helpful just to be able to find almost "how to" do practically anything nowadays? Or are you loathe to give up the old way of a DIY manual maybe, which way do you prefer? Or do you perhaps use a mix of both?

Re: How To?

Wishbone and Doc it is very handy for saving pounds isnt it ,things that we might not have tackled before once we can "see" it being done and we can repeat play it over and over to get up to speed on "how to" it becomes much easier doesnt it.
I wanted to find out how to reset something on a sat nav I had and couldnt for the life of me find out how to do it so I went to you tube and bingo!!! few seconds later it was done. Easy as pie.
Ive also used it to find out about seed bead jewellery making as well ,but my eyesight isnt up to the tiny work anymore.

I use it a lot, Aysa, as there are lots of different card making techniques available.

Re: How To?

It's got to be youtube or an internet search (even for bus times, etc) ... it's so easy to find the answer to almost everything

Gone are the days when we said "you'll have to ask your mum/dad/grandma/grandad" .... now it's "I'll have to Google it"

Re: How To?

I do better with the written word and lots of pictures. But I can see how watching a video could be quite helpful for many things.
