The Queen

I see 'The Sun ' newspaper has published a picture of the Queen making a nazi salute when she was aged 7/8 years old in 1933. She was only a child and would have had no idea what it meant then. Britain wasnt even at war,in fact I think this Country was friendly with Germany at the time ,no one new Hitler was the monster he turned out to be.

Re: The Queen

Children would march up the streets doing the salute and laughing at Hitler
Could have been the same for the Queen and her lot - they would have been aware of him, that's for sure

Re: The Queen

I cannot remember the number of times as a kid I would put my finger beneath my nose and throw a salute.
It was all piddle taking - I have never been pro Nazi.

The papers just have to print something!

Re: The Queen

I don't think posting such a story will do the newspaper concerned any favours, I consider it to be irrelevant to this time and age.

Re: The Queen

Utterly discourteous. But hey; it's The Sun and let's be frank, it's a paper read by the brain dead and ridiculous, and furthermore; the Aussie Galah and Sun owner, Rupert Murdoch is a republican.

Re: The Queen

I went into Morrisons and there was every newspaper, except the Sun it had sold out since early this morning so I assume this story has achieved its aim by selling out.
