Online Friends.

I have met a few of my online friends over the years, but tomorrow I have one lady coming to stay with me for a few days. I must have known her online about 8 years, we both make cards and met on a craft forum. We seemed to get on well together from the start.
I am so looking forward to it. My daughters husband was worried saying she could be anyone. And my freinds friend has told her I might be an 81 year old man that likes the younger woman lol

As you can tell I am really looking forward to it. I am sure we will have loads to chat about, also we might just fit I a crafting day

Have you met up with online friends? Did you enjoy it?

I can understand the excitement when you have been chatting for 8 years and get on so well
There is someone I am very fond of here, maybe one day we will meet, in the meantime I am very happy to know her - I think you have given it a fair time too before the plunge

A couple of years ago I met up with four people from another forum. I had been chatting to them for about 10 yrs so it was good to see them in real life. There are a few in here that I would love to meet - maybe one day !

I have visited Barry, aka plantman, as he lives in the village where I grew up and close to where our surviving relatives live. He and his wife are very nice people.

Yes in earlier days, we used to hold meets at sites related to two of my hobbies. Always nice to put faces to online names, and it was enjoyable to share our interests.

No, I was a forum 'virgin' until I joined here, so have never met anyone.
As Nom said, it would be nice to be able to put a face to a name, but we mostly live far and wide and I'm not a traveller.
I lose my car in a car park most days so daren't let myself loose further afield!
