Ebay Items

How far would you travel, to pick up an Ebay item, is the journey just as important as the item?

Re: Ebay Items

I was always concerned about On-costs, but where an Ebay purchase is concerned I ain't, must be some sort of crossover between work and leisure.

Re: Ebay Items

I put lots on my Watch list, but, when it comes time to bid I look at stuff and go, "nah" but, then I do that when shopping, put things in the trolley and change my mind!

That is a really useful website, Meg, had not heard of them before but have now 'bookmarked' them. Thank you.

Re: Ebay Items

A man from Barrow in Furness came to our house in Bradford, to collect a Van Seat at the cost of £10, ok if it's something you really need. He said he had been in a long traffic jam and wanted to know a quicker way back..
I couldn't believe it

ST I used them to deliver a custom made solid pine round extending dining table and four chairs for my kitchen purchased on Ebay from a place over 100 miles away.
The furniture was like new and originally cost over £1000 and I bought it for £125. The cost of the van was £70 so I think I did very well.

I placed my request for removal on the site and the bids came in. I chose a driver with a lot of good reviews.
The person I selected kept me informed including when there was a hold up on the motorway and called to say he was going to be late and was that ok . When he and his mate arrived they carried the furniture into the kitchen for me ane also offered to take away the old stuff free of charge. I was very pleased with the service.

Re: Ebay Items

Went to Norfolk for a caravan, and Yorkshire for a campervan, Wales for a car. But we have to really not be able to get what we want more locally. The thing here is being in Surrey you can pay thousands more for a campervan locally than you would if you are prepared to travel a little.
