Re: Stop that racket!!
Have to admit when my neighbour first moved in 1995 we thought how lovely she makes her own indian food from scratch (pounding the chapattis was distinctive) but now so many years on and she does it 3 times a day for half an hour or more the appeal has worn thin.Re: Stop that racket!!

If you have noisey neighbours there is a law in the UKRe: Stop that racket!!
Not sure I would want to make trouble for the neighbours just because my tolerance level is getting less. The door has a fault - council has worked on it numerous times and not managed to fix it, lady making her own food - well she is entitled to cook as she wishes not her fault the sound carries to us, only one I would like to stop is the hoovering, but not wanting to start a tit for tat situation as they have complained about us it won't help neighbourhood tension to start complaining about them.Re: Stop that racket!!
Oh my word, I am so pleased to have good immediate neighbours but there is some lout across the road with an open exhaust either on a car or a large motorbike who tends to like to roar up and down in the evenings for a while I would love to shove a spud up his exhaust!Re: Stop that racket!!
Yes dogs shouldn't bark incessantly trouble is our neighbour complained because ours yap once or twice if someone rings the door bell, and when any of us come home, they were told by the council it doesn't constitute and nuisance but they continue to post insults through the letter box.Re: Stop that racket!!
A dog barking a couple of times Julie is acceptable, I think you have very silly neighbours, our next door neighbours dog used to bark at the post man and my gorgeous Abigail used to imitate it. It was handy if you were waiting for the post.
