Can you name half a dozen things you are grateful for in your life?

My parents - for providing for us
My upbringing - though we (4 of us children) are all different, I like to think I have inherited their morals and work ethic
The sense of humour I also seem to have inherited from them
The family members who do care
My friends, past and present
Getting to State Pension age!!!

I'm grateful that I have:

Good health for me & my family
That I live in Scotland (should have said as opposed to some of the war zones & troubled countries we see on the news)
That I have enough income for my needs - so far!
I had an enjoyable career & am happily retired
I still learn something new every day (or do I only think I do and I actually have dementia????)
Have lots of interests & a few good friends

My husband.
My children.
My grandchildren
A roof over my head.
Being able to travel to and appreciate different countries over the years.
My reasonably good health and sense of humour.

My parents both lovely people who did their best.

My OH who is a very special man.

My children, they kept me busy when young and now offer support and comfort in difficult times.

Curiosity..Its this that keeps me busy searching and finding out new things daily.

My pets, each one unique and each bringing a special friendship.

My surroundings , not a war zone and although not spectacular they are still very beautiful providing me with something to admire each day.

I noticed none of us ladies have said chocolate..

The brown magic that melts on the tongue easing stress and making the world feel right ...even if only for a moment.

My lovely wee mum and dad.

My three beautiful sons.

That I've always had a job.

That I have good health.

My wee council flat that was a blessing when I got the keys.

My absolutely wonderful partner of 2 and a half years that I can't imagine life without.

I could go on and on...........

That I broke free from my upbringing and forged my own life.
That I live in Scotland and my Scottish heritage
That I have enough income for a modestly comfortable life.
I had an enjoyable career & am happily retired
There's always something new to learn.
I have lots of interests, good friends and neighbours.
