Guarantees

Do you need a Guarantee?

Of authenticity for example, and, would it be worth the paper it is written on?

Re: Guarantees

Depends what I am buying Spitty.
If its something cheap, then I wouldn't expect a guarantee, but if it was something hellish expensive (highly unlikely ), yes, I would expect a guarantee, and I would expect it to be honoured too.

Depends ... Electrical goods yes please..

My beagle had pedigree papers that showed his authenticity as the pup of prize winning parents and his high breeding. To me it meant nothing and I left it with his old owners..

Re: Guarantees

If a product is suitable for purpose then it should carry it's own guarantee. You shoud not have to pay extra for it.

Well years ago the Parker Pen Company brought out a set of pens, a fountain pen, a propelling pencil, and a ball point pen, all in a lovely oak case, I remember it especially because I got my dad a set for Christmas, the whole set was guaranteed for five years, so there, put that in your fountain pen and write a letter of complaint to the company, as me Granny used to say.
