Good grief

I have this friend who I may have mentioned before-she makes me smile and hiss as whatever I do or say involves a lecture.

I bought a BBQ-and yes it was not cheap-but I do quality and this thing will see me out.


Her reaction upon seeing it?-that`s too big for you,why you spend your money like this on something like that amazes me...................rabbit............rabbit

She forgot to notice it`s decent BBQ,it has charcoal dividers. So it can be set just for one or two-or can be fired up for those times when there may a few more around.

At least it's a proper barbi and cooks with charcoal. Money well spent say I.

Perhaps she thought you wanted her opinion ? I tend not to show people things as it often ends in them telling me how much better waffle waffle waffle (you get the drift).

The size doesn't matter anyway, the quality is what is important.

I have to say her time keeping is rubbish,but in other ways she is totally reliable on two counts;


1-she knows best

2-Whatever happens it`s my fault.

I never understand this desire men have to cook on a steel bucket in the garden whilst there is a perfectly good fully equiped kitchen inside the house...

But if it keeps them happy...

In this case if its your own money its also up to you how you chose to spend it....

Well one of the things we are both looking forward to when we move is getting a barbeque, likely to be a fire pit though as they look great fun and that's a woman wanting one
