Energen rolls ? just had a bread roll that had gone a bit stale toasted for tea and it tasted just like the old energen rolls I remember as a child being given because bread was too fattening

I do remember them - sold in a big box? - but don't think I ever tasted one.

Re: Anyone remember ?

We used to have them when we went to tea with my aunt on Tuesdays . We always had a boiled egg with toast and for some bizarre reason energen rolls.

Tea was served in the billiard room which doubled as a breakfast room. I didn't know what billiard were in those days but I was aware of little nets on the side of the table.
I used to put my enegen rolls in the little nets because I didn't like them

Yes you're right Sue. I can remember my Nan used to give them to me and my brother sometimes. Funny things, light as a feather.
