Is it possible

For someone else to know you better than you know yourself?

Re: Is it possible

Yes, I think it is, Spitty.

Sometimes we are more predictable than we realise. Somebody who has known you closely for a very long time will have a very good idea of your opinion or reaction to a given situation, sometimes before you even have a chance to express it yourself.

The only person who really knew me inside out was my mum, she had the knack of knowing what I was thinking simply by looking at my face, others, I can run rings around 'em and they haven't a clue!

Re: Is it possible

Absolutely, my best buddy and husband have seen me in the worst and best of times. I'm one of those people who goes full steam ahead sometimes. Nice to have two people that can right me when needed.

No. Nobody knows what you're really like except yourself. We all put on an act to some degree.

Re: Is it possible

No one can really know anyone better than the person knows them self's. We all project an image of our self's in situations we are in. Only when you live totally alone can you find out who you truly are. You realise all the different images you are around other people and in life. But even then can surprise yourself to new reactions in certain situations.

I also believe you can never truly know anyone , even if you think you do, for attitudes , feelings and situations can change in the blink of an eye and that person who you believed you truly knew becomes a stranger . Believe me , I have experienced this on many occasions .

I think my husband knows me far better than I know myself when I say I'll do something he often says bet you don't and he is right every time.

Re: Is it possible

I think it depends upon how self-aware you are. Some people seem totally ignorant of themselves, others the opposite.
