Lovely thought - lovely man

A man took his wife's wedding dress to a charity shop, he had pinned a note to the dress which read
Whoever wears this dress, may you have the 56 years of happy marriage my wife and I shared after she wore this dress ........ (not word for word - but near enough)
What a guy - 'sigh'
Apparently the dress had been well looked after and cherished - it was beautiful

Lovely story Patsy, I do hope whoever wears the dress is as lucky as that man was.
I was thinking about how fussy women are about wedding dresses that it might be too old fashioned for any bride to wear it nowadays?

I like those dresses Jem
I think whoever buys it will have good luck in the marriage - I believe that as he wished it for them ...................

Its a lovely story. In a small place next to Leeds.
I last heard it was on e bay and gaining hundreds of pounds
for the hospice who put it on.
Sounds like his wife must have passed away. Bless him.

This is the dress, sad there was no one in the family to whom it could be passed on.
