WI

It is the Centenary of the Women's Institute, are there any members here, and do they still have meetings given the fact we now have WI-FI?

No I am not a member Paul but yes they still have meetings.
The local branch meet in the village hall and I read a report of their meetings in the village magazine. They have some very interesting guest speakers.

I also visit their 'Friday' markets to buy home grown fruit and vegetables

I'm a member. We have monthly meetings, mostly with a guest speaker, but some months there are 'events' instead - summer bbq, spring walk, xmas lunch etc. This month is our annual trip, we're having a day in Stratford-upon-Avon

Quite a thriving WI here, not really my scene but they seem to have a lot of fun.

Our village has a thriving group and monthly WI markets.

Not a member myself but I go to their markets when I can.

My mother was all for the WI-her cakes never came my way though. Looking back the WI was a chance to be free of the thing.
