Phlegm as in mucus or phlegm as in stoicism ? Get rid of the first but hang on to the second is my view.

As a kid, I suffered from Chronic Catarrh, I think this was due to the poor Socio Economic situation that prevailed at the time.

Since i stopped smoking 9yrs ago i seem to have more than ever? I would have thought it was the other way round..

What a revolting subject Spitty.
I can't stand seeing those blokes who suddenly cough and spit out a load of phlegm on the pavement, right where everyone's walking.

It's your lungs and airways clearing themselves, it takes years for it all to loosen and your lungs to go back to normal.

And as you get older you may find that pollen ( especially tree pollen ) exacerbates the problem , at least it gives me grief.
Find that antihistamines help.
