Re: Hi de Hi

I loved that series too. I'd like to see a channel that played things like Hi De Hi, Are you being served, Steptoe and Son, etc., instead of constant re-runs of Only Fools and Horses and Last of the Summer Wine. I get sick of the sight of those two - not that they were bad, of course, but they get done to death!!

Re: Hi de Hi

It was repeated on BBC 2 for a while we recorded them
But I agree we should have a nostalgia channel - I'd love that ..............

I love Hi de Hi. I have all the episodes on DVD. It's one of my top favourite old comedies.

I'm still laughing Carol
Its the one where Barry shared Teds chalet and it caught fire
The sight of them all trying to put that fire out was superbly done - it will keep me going for the rest of the day

Re: Hi de Hi

My son has several episodes of Hi de Hi which he recorded from the BBC2 repeats including the last ever episode.
Don't watch this episode on any account unless you have a box of tissues handy!

I remember it vaguely and I know I shed a tear - but the details are hazy
Peggy pulled at me heartstrings anyway .............
