Omar Sharif

I see in todays paper that Omar Sharif, now 83, has got Alzheimers, according to his son. What a shame, poor man.
I used to like him in my youth.

Yes I read about that too.
So many famous people get it and all their money can do nothing for them!!

OS was one of my favorites too I loved his portrayal of Doctor Zhivago .
Very sad for him ...

He was a man whos eyes looked into the person and not at them very good actor..

Such a shame but at least he has family. Its those who are all alone I feel most sorry for.

Coincidentally I was watching him in a film yesterday, lovely actor. So sad for him and his family and friends.

Loved him when I was younger. Always remember the first
time I saw him and it was in Lawrence of Arabia.
When he rode out of the mirage on his camel and you
saw him get closer to the camera. Oh boy was he gorgeous.
Always liked blonde haired guys up to that point
Shame about his illness. No longer will he be on the gambling
tables and casinos around the country. He used to go to the
one in Leeds quite often. He was good friends with Peter O'Toole
and came to Leeds often as that's where Peter also lived.

My mother, mother in law & grandmother all had it..............just too sad.
